Real-time control of diesel combustion quality (CRADA with DDC)

Principal Investigator:
C. Stuart Daw

Other collaborators (including ORNL personnel):
Robert M. Wagner
Craig Savonin (DDC)

Funding Source:
DOE-OHVT

Project Focus:
ORNL and DDC are collaborating through a CRADA agreement to develop improved methods for diagnosing and modeling the characteristics of diesel combustion under extreme operating conditions. The ultimate objective is to develop real-time feedback and controls to increase fuel efficiency and decrease emissions.

This activity is being carried out under CRADA ORNL-00-0609.
