Professional Highlights

Education

Ph.D. student in Combustion Engineering, University of Wisconsin (2008) Thesis: Soluble Organic Fraction Characterization as a Function of Fuel and Combustion Type and the Impact on Soot Oxidation Kinetics

Andrea is a Post Graduate Research Fellow and has been working with FEERC since 2004. She is completing her PhD research at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in association with the University of Wisconsin Engine Research Center. Andrea’s main focus is the soluble organic fraction of diesel particulate emissions – their composition and impact on soot oxidation kinetics. She is also involved in several fuels and advanced combustion projects.

  • Member of the Diesel Cross Cut CLEERS DPF Group
  • Member of the Society of Automotive Engineers
  • Member of AICHE, ACS, ASME
