Areas of expertise include heterogeneous catalysis and kinetic modeling with an emphasis in NOx reduction.
Current research areas include: quantification of surface species on catalysts with in-situ DRIFTS and chemisorption, kinetics evaluations in differential reactors, simultaneous study of surface and reactor effluent in NOx adsorber catalysts using an in-situ DRIFTS reactor with downstream mass spectrometer, investigation and synthesis of novel catalytic supports for PEM fuel cell electrodes, and chemical, and intra-PEM fuel cell investigations to determine local chemistry, temperature and degradation.
