Scott joined the research and development staff of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in 1998.  He has held a professional engineering license in the state of Tennessee since 2000.  Scott has been involved in research in the areas of advanced combustion, emissions controls, alternative fuels, hybrid powertrains, and vehicle performance.  He is currently involved in research in the area of EGR cooler fouling and fuel property effects on advanced combustion technology.  Scott is an active member of SAE International, serving on the Government/Industry Meeting General Committee, the Land and Sea Group, the Powertrain, Fuels, and Lubricants Activity, and as a frequent author and reviewer of technical papers.
